CPU: Intel Core i5-520M (2 cores, 4 threads)
Motherboard: It's a laptop, who cares lol.
RAM: 8 GB of DDR3 (2 sticks of 4 GB)
GPU: Intel integrated
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Disk: 128 GB Samsung SSD with abysmally and curiously slow random read/write performance.
Display: Crappy 1440x900 TN panel with the WORST contrast I've ever seen. At least it has an (objectively superior to 16:9) aspect ratio of 16:10.
Other curiosities: It has a ThinkLight™ (outside link) which is pretty nifty. It also has a DVD drive which I consider always to be nice.
Not much at the moment since I moved to a new house and got a new office room which has plenty space for using multiple desktop PCs at the same desk.
I used to have it next to my main PC if I needed to do something else while in a fullscreen application, like browse a web page or a document, write something in Libreoffice Writer or do a spreadsheet in Libreoffice Calc etc...
I used to take it to the library when I was job hunting but now I have a job so that's outta the question.
I used to watch Youtube on it while doing chores around a house but I got a tablet that I use for that purpose now.
So now that I think about it, it's kind of in limbo at the moment. It doesn't have a HDMI port or I would maybe connect it to my "dumb"-TV as it is by far the most silent PC that I own, but I haven't had the desire to buy a displayport to hdmi converted as of yet...
We'll see what use case I figure out for it. It's a fine machine and has served me well.
I sometimes take it downstairs to the kitchen or living room if we need to do some thing on a PC but don't wanna haul our asses upstairs lmao.
I got this laptop from my ex girlfriend for 50€. I lost the girlfriend, but got a great laptop, so that's fine by me :D
