System #8 - AMD A10-6700 PC

Specifications:

CPU: AMD A10-6700 APU

Motherboard: ASUS M11BB

RAM: 4 GB DDR3-1600 Single Channel, one ram stick.

GPU: Integrated, AMD Radeon HD 8670D, set at 512 MB VRAM in the UEFI settings.

OS: Debian GNU/Linux 13, with MATE desktop environment.

Disks: 500 GB Toshiba HDD (OS Disk), 1 TB WD BLACK HDD (Secondary Disk).

Case: Some black mATx case.

Sound card: None, lol. The integrated one appears to be broken (tested both on Windows and Linux, it just isn't detected to exist, even when double checked that it's enabled in UEFI settings). I just use audio via HDMI for now.

Network connectivity: Ethernet.

Anything else of note: It has PS/2 ports that some asshat (not me) has apparently been playing screwdriver hockey in, rip.
A DVD drive, and an SD card slot, both of which come really handy in my use cases.
It freaks the fuck out on every boot, giving a CPU FAN ERROR!!!! OMFGGG!!!!! but... nothing is wrong with it. The fan detection just freaks out before it can detect that the PWM fan is running just fine. It's funny.

Display (primary): Sharp Aquos LC-40LE600 dumb-TV, via HDMI.

What I use this system for:

Home theater PC, and PS1 & N64 emulation. DVD playback and ripping. Working with microSD cards when needed.

Backstory and history of the system:

30€ purchase so I could experiment with FLOSS operating systems. Originally was gonna go with trying to put Arch Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, and Haiku on it. Haiku didn't work with GPU acceleration, got discouraged, lazy, and realize "Hey, I could use a dedicated home theater PC for me & the kids. Did that and that's that.

Latest updates on the system:

No changes, just set it up.
